National Geographic Live! - Bertie Gregory: A Wild Life

A very entertaining and enterprising young man, it is encouraging to witness such passion for wildlife. Gorgeous shots, with lots of "don't do this at home" moments with elephants, leopards, black bears and wolves. 

Sheridan Theatre - The Cradle Will Rock

Charmingly set in the thirties in New York, the cast were working from the time we arrived, engaging us in the halls and escorting us into the theatre. A mini history lesson from early union days of strife.

Art of Time - A Singer Must Die: The Words & Music of Leonard Cohen

Fantastic line-up of vocalists and readings, featuring an amazing selection of Cohen's songs and poems. And as expected, backed by an outstanding band.

Off Mirvish - King Charles III

Interesting perspective on a possible future for the monarchy. Well played in demonstrating the ambition that can come from the lustre of the crown. A surprise ending.

Coal Mine Theatre - Rumours

Fantastic band and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Lovely to see the boomers sharing their early favourites with their kids or their friends.

Tarragon - Cottagers and Indians

A conflict between privileged cottagers and an indigenous entrepreneur dredges up well known issues. However this play handles the dialogue respectfully, providing good perspective on both sides of the story.

Crows Theatre - Jerusalem

While not much happens, this is a compelling drama. Despite not being a model citizen, Kim Coates creates a sympathetic character we felt sorry for towards the end. He was accompanied by a really strong supporting cast of rats and hangers on.
