Lots of fun shows to take in. For
shopping the International marketplace and the Arts, Crafts and Hobby Building
are strong favourites. And, of course, no visit is complete without several
forays into the Food Building, although I sort of miss the preponderance of
pure junk food back in the day.

Molson Amphitheater - Blue Rodeo
A real pleasure, the opportunity to enjoy
both the powerful voice of Matt Anderson, and a home town favourite band. The
crowd welcomed Matt in the opening act and he did not disappoint. But the crowd
didn't need warming up for Blue Rodeo, they were clearly devout fans -
everybody knew the words. Great solos, awesome vocals and showmanship, a
fabulous band. A great summer venue and terrific family outing.
CNE - Bon Voyage! Aerial Acrobatics & Ice Skating Show
A very well choreographed mix of skating
and acrobatics, this show should be on your essential list for your CNE
visit. Featuring Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir this is a classy show. There were some amazing performances from the other skaters and the acrobats were also awesome.

Mirvish - Oh Canada: What a Feeling !
Tracing Canadian rock/pop artists from 1964
to 1991, it felt like a trip down memory lane. With an accomplished band, some
awesome guitar solos and amazing vocalists, particularly Amy Bishop channeling
KD Lang, you will recognize all of these memorable hits.

Fern - Aug 1-9
The land of rolls and honey. A Ferntastic family place, with great food and lots of things to do for everyone. Best part - the kids will spend all day with new friends, leaving you to relax and refresh. Then you all get to enjoy a wonderful family dinner and "night out" as there is a family show to attend every evening. And the best show is put on by the staff themselves. Highly recommended and even more fun if you can convince some friends to go with you.
