A Day in Régine an - Part 2

No city visit is complete without a little shopping so I stopped in the Hillberg & Berk store. You can find their unique designs on-line, but it was fun to browse the collection and chat.

In need of a break, I checked out the local equivalent of Starbucks - Atlantis Coffee at Victoria and Hamilton. Later I crossed the street to Victoria's Tavern for the best roast beef dip I have ever eaten.

In my wandering, I noticed a preponderance of tattoos and unique hair-styling and many small cute homes with stucco exteriors. The downtown area has an interesting culture.

A little further out, it's worth a trip to the RCMP  Museum for a fascinating history of the force - tough and fair from the beginning - and a tour of the depot, where all RCMP officers are trained.

Sleeping is was a challenge as I left the curtains partly opened and was greeted with the bright of day at 4 am. Tues was the longest day with 16.5 hours of daylight.
